Human Identity
Chris-Armel, digitally identified as daqhris, is the artist, photographer, and software developer whose binary footprints formed the awalkaday.art Photography Collection. He shouldered a heavy artistic load during the second half of his twenties, while living, wandering, and gazing at landscapes of Belgium.
awalkaday 202-2021 → A first-person view: legs on a bench, dappled grass, white-barked trees receding into the distance. The page asks who he is. The photograph answers from the perspective of someone who has, for a moment, stopped walking.
Born in 1992, raised with a spoon feeding his mouth on East African soil, Chris was educated in his teenage years at a state-funded public school, and another one backed by a Jesuit institution on the territory of Bujumbura, Burundi. The two public schools were named in a religious manner after the Morning Star in Latin as Stella Matutina, and the Holy Spirit in French as Saint-Esprit.
